Yfrog is ImageShack's mobile media platform, and is the leading media sharing service for Twitter. We are actively looking to add an experienced UX/UI Design Lead to our team.

Job Description

The Imageshack/yFrog UX/UI design lead will collaborate with the Product Manager as well as the Front-end and Back-end Team to strategize and design the UX/UI for web and mobile environments. The design lead will be responsible for creative end-to-end solutions through, but not limited to, wireframe prototypes, conceiving use-case scenarios, visual design, and reviewing implementation. The UX/UI design lead will require past UX/UI design experience in Social Media, with an extreme focus on the relationship between the user’s objectives, the interactions, and the visual design. The design lead will be adept in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment, where accuracy and speed are a requirement. In addition, the design lead will provide graphics-asset support to the Front-End team, as well as some traditional graphic design.

Responsibilities

• Work with Product Manager to formulate and define requirements for new web and mobile features
• Conceive mental models and confidently debate, discuss use-case scenario
• Develop, produce, and iterate UX/UI wireframes, navigation maps, information architecture diagrams, and UI guidelines for both web and mobile interactive experiences
• Become the resident usability and design advocate
• ollaborate with and incorporate feedback received from front-end development/back-end engineering teams
• Design and iterate pixel-perfect UI for online, iOS, and Android environments
• Ensure UI fits and reinforces Imageshack/yFrog brands
• Produce and manage design assets for use by front-end development team
• Review UI to ensure proper implementation
• When needed, design company-branded assets: print and online collateral, logo design, promotional materials

Skills & Requirements

• 7+ years of forward-thinking UX/UI design at the Senior Level
• Clean and modern aesthetic, huge fan of the International Style
• Meticulous and expert with typography, color theory, grids, and layout
• Experience and comfortable designing for iOS, Android, and Web
• Ability to comfortably communicate with developers
• Understands front-end development/back-end engineering constraints and can adapt quickly to change in product direction
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, PHP, AJAX, Javascript and back-end technologies
• Experience designing for Social Media
• Keeps abreast with industry developments: tech, web, mobile, social media, design
• Experience designing end-to-end branded solutions: logo, business collateral (business cards, stationery), marketing materials (brochures, presentations, apparel graphics)
• Can design with both speed and accuracy
• Extremely organized in file-naming, version-saving, asset management
• Team player first, but has the capacity for self-direction with little supervision
• Multi-task and prioritize a diverse set of projects
• Clearly convey thoughts and ideas both verbally and written
• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Graphic Design, New Media Design, HCI, or related degree
• Online Portfolio that demonstrates: complex problem-solving using design-thinking, expertise in design for web and mobile environments, and well-rounded design skills
