My name is Cyndi. I've been an artist my entire life. After graduating college in 1980, I started
selling my work privately. Now I am hoping to move into art licensing.
I always have an ongoing art or craft project in progress and hand-make many gifts. I owe my creative abilities to my mom and grandmother. Mom instilled the love of ceramics and grandma taught me all the traditional crafts such as crochet, knitting and embroidery. I grew up in New York and graduated Nanuet Sr. High in 1976 with an Art Regents Diploma. After a year at Rockland Community College, I moved to Atlanta, Georgia to attend The American College for the Applied Arts. In early %u201880%u2019s, cute handpainted giftware was in fashion; I worked at several gift shops perfecting my unique freehand painting abilities. In addition, I worked for a quilt company as a paste-up artist. The traditional blocks and intricate fabric prints greatly influenced my creative attitude. It brought me to the realization that I love to draw with fine detail. Marriage and babies kept me busy in the late 80%u2019s & 90%u2019s along with work as a retail artist. I still reside in the Atlanta, GA area. My husband, Joe and I have been married for 25 years with 3 kids, Mindy-21, Hanna-17, and Kevin- 14. My creative skills come in very handy with my PTA volunteering and service with other community organizations. I currently work at Publix Supermarket, where I paint signs (like GRAPES $1.29 LB.) and create displays. I love crafting, illustrating and painting in different styles and media. My creative approach tends to be whimsical, kitschy with everyday, child-like themes. I am a skilled artisan that creates unique boutique style arts and illustrations with fine craftsmanship and continually seeks inspiration for creativity and self-satisfaction. I am inspired by everyday life, average household items, and common daily events. I use bright colors and designs, and make delightful compositions that would be good on home decor items, stationary, or fashion fabric.
